1610D broken breather tube on rear case

1610D - small tube on top of left rear axle casing broke off flush. Is this pressed in or threaded? I assume it is pressed but need to make sure before i thread the stub and try and pull it with a screw. If that is not the best method, what is suggested to remove it?

On my YM240 the big one on top of the differential housing was threaded. The flush fragment came out easily with an ez-out. Hopefully the little brake-housing vent is similar, if that's what this is.

Thinking that is 1/8"BPT, I think this would work. Yanmar Tractor Parts: AIR BREATHER I tapped my vent hole on the hydraulic unit on my 2002d with a 1/8"npt tap and screwed a nipple in.

In any event, pretty sure it is threaded.

If your talking about the small vent tubes for the brakes. On my 3110 they are threaded . The large 1 on top rear (center on my 3110) for the hydraulics is also threaded

Yes, the tube is on the brake housing assembly.

I dug out my Japanese parts manual and thumbed though it for an hour, went out and compared it to my tractor, and..................dang!........my parts manual looks like it is missing the page with the brake housing assembly!

If anybody has the YM1610D parts manual page marked at lower right with "N005417", i need a copy.

You can't go wrong by assuming it to be threaded.

I soaked in PB blaster and, with some effort to break it loose, backed it out with an ez out. It was threaded. Will see if Hoye has it. They have two different PN's for "breather" with no pix that could be it.

I haven't looked for the part # but, I'll bet they are the same size for all tractors that use them
