1610d with leaking front hubs: Worst case scenario to repair?

Not sure why. The 4wd models generally have the 160 and the 2wd the 140. I'm assuming the 140 is better than the japan VN loader that a lot of them have?

It is a Zen Noh branded 3110d so I'm guessing it didn't come into the states with a loader and the importer put a 140 on it. Unless they sell Koykers in Japan. They are made in South Dakota.

The Zen Noh story hasn't been told recently. In case someone hasn't seen it:

Zen Noh is a big ag co-op in Japan. Yanmar private-branded tractors that were sold through this co-op. The tractors are otherwise identical to standard Yanmar models.

About a dozen years ago a network of dealers tried to import the Zen Noh tractors and say that they weren't Yanmars. I forget exactly why they wanted to do that, but a lawsuit by Yanmar put an end to it after a year or so.

That was the year that I bought my tractor, and I ended up with one of the Zen Nohs.

I had a leak on left side of my 186D a few years ago.......used the power steering fluid.......worked for a couple years......eventually replaced seal. I am a DIY guy.....bought the parts from Hoye....pretty easy fix. Good luck.
