I have a 1981 1720 that is so mint you would think it's only a few years old.
I just put $600 for new mufflers, blades, PTO switch and some light welding on the deck.
Now the clutch and the hydro pump went at the same time. Maybe a bearing up front in the clutch.
Anyway, I have found an older 1620 that looks similar except the speed control is on the right rear fender instead of the dash and the PTO switch is lower down.
I was wondering if the clutch and rear ends are compatible. I really don't want to abandon my 1720.
Can anyone help?
