16ft trailer long enough for CUT TLB?

I have b26 that has foamed tires so its heavy. And I use a 16 trailer trailer when its just tractor and hoe but it has 2 6k axles with brakes with axles all way to the rear shop built so 1/2 ton truck wont handle it.

Don't get a landscape style in my mind they are on good for lawn mowers.

Dad has dodge 1500 with small v8 that uses e85 and it will handle on my 22 foot trailer as I can get the tongue weight right.

I researched trailer size to death and ended up buying a 16-foot aluminum car hauler. What I found is trailer length is like horsepower, nobody ever wants less. Although you may be able to fit your tractor on 16-foot trailer, add an FEL and an RC and you will have 5-foot hanging off the end and very little ability to balance your load. Don't be that guy.

I have a TLB that is smaller then yours and I find that its barely enough on a 16 ft trailer. If I wanted to bring home something with BX, I'd run out of room. I also had to reinforce the landscape ramp with more cross pieces due to sagging weight on mesh. I don't tow often, and 16 ft is just enough as long I dont carry anything else. I am thinking a B is gonna make things a bit tighter.

For the original poster stated use he would most likly have no problems with a 16ft landscape trailer but an 18ft would be better.Over time he may need to beef up the ramps or have heavier duty ones made.

I would prefer to have larger mesh sides and heavy duty ramps for the rear so items would be more contained by the trailer. I am leaning towards something like a Carry On or NNT $2900 as opposed to a Holmes which is more heavy duty but now runs $3800. I will not use this very often for my tractor and will probably see more use moving things. Also I fall out of love fast with cars so I might get rid of the Ram at some point and use an SUV to tow the trailer.

Be careful with the tall mesh sides. Unless you have tie down points on the inside of them they'll probably get bent when you have to run the chains/ straps for your tractor over them to hook to the trailer frame.

Sixteen foot works fine for my B1750 with FEL and MMM. With a box blade on, I still have a foot or so left on each end. Total weight is about 2,200 lbs with the BB on. Load is balanced well on the hitch. Wouldn't go any smaller than 16 ft. for my needs.

I have a 16 ft trailer and haul a JD 790TLB or a Kubota L4300 with an implement on the back and never a problem. Mine are regular ramps, however and I would steer cleat of landscape ramps from a weight issue that would bend them. I have never need more room.

I am not sure, but I think your 2200lb estimate is a little off.
I am not sure what your MMM, FEL, and BB weigh, so I'll just guess here but the tractor by ITSELF is 1500.

Tractor...1500
MMM......300
FEL........700
BB.........400

Again, just guessing, but I do think 2200lbs is low. I know your tractor is a little smaller, but the FEL on mine is 900lbs + another 260 for the bucket. They are heavier than they look.

For that tractor, with a hoe on the back, I'd skip the landscape style trailer and go for the car-trailer/equipment trailer style with actual ramps instead of a gate.

Those landscape trailers, even though they are rated at 7K, just arent built like a 7k car/equipment trailer. And I dont like gates either. or the rail all the way around the landscape style. If you ever use it for things like hauling building material, it makes it hard to load/unload from the side.

As to length, 18' with 2' dove is what I would go.

Yea there is a place in a small town that i go through that makes trailers and advertises in the local sale paper. I looked at it cause it looked like a good deal. It is a landscape style with ramps. had 2 axles and 7000lb rating. When i looked up at the tounge it had a 5000lb tounge/ball thing welded to it? Whats the point you just turned your 7000lb trailer into a 5000lb trailer?
