16LA Removal w/o Kickstand

Mark is it not possible to R&R the kickstand mount on the loader arms while it is still attached to your tractor for support? I'm not recommending crawling under the loader unless you have them blocked up but it seems to me that might be easier done while still attached to your tractor for stability.

Mark, when you giggled the joystick, you allowed the curl cylinders to also relax. That's why your pallet forks didn't hold the loader arms up at least until you could get the tractor backed away. Frankly, I uninstall and reinstall my loader on a regular basis with the tractor running and the joystick just centered. If there's no heavy load on the cylinders, the qick-connects will work easily.

Yes, but I don't know when I can get a guy with a welder in here. Just thought I'd try to delay spending the $ until later.

I never tried this - always followed the instructions in the manual (plus your "classic" post on loader removal /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) I'll try it AFTER (apparently) I get the kickstand fixed.

Yeah, me too. Then one day I forgot to shut off the engine and I found the whole process went just fine. The only time I ever had any difficulty whatsoever was when I took the loader off at 50°F and then tried to install it when it was 95°F out. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I had to loosen the connections in the lines. The pressure was so great the hoses were sticking out straight from the loader. I bet the pressure inside must have been nearly 4000 psi. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

BTW: One day I forgot to fold my kickstand, but I realized it before any damage was done. Another day, I had my front bumper folded down and worked half the day with it that way. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I understand how these things happen. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Yesterday afternoon I was driving in 70° weather and noticed a sign on the side of the road that said "Watch for ice on bridge." I guess TxDOT puts those signs up when temperatures are consistently below 80° here. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
