I am brand new to this site and I had a couple questions on my current tractor. I am curious if anyone knows what oil I would use in the 8 fwd/2 rev. tranny, and also where I could find the built plate with all the component model numbers. Also, mine has a full enclosed cab made by sims. I havnt seen any pics of these on here at all so I am wondering how rare that option might have been when these were made. Thanks all in advance...

Sims cabs are fairly common.
Your tractor uses two types of oil; the appropriate engine oil in the crankcase and New Holland 134D hydraulic oil or the equivalent everywhere else. Model, serial number and unit code can be found on a data plate fastened to the undeside of the hinged half of the hood, and hand stamped into the horizontal surface of the clutch housing immediately to the rear of the starter.

Great info, I appreciate that. The tranny and diff takes hydraulic oil as well?? Do you know what the lifting capacity of the loader would be on this model? I am also considering making a concrete ballast box for it because I use this tractor and a spear to move round bales (approx 1600-1800 lbs) and it gets pretty light on the rear end. Would a ballast of say 1500 lbs hurt anything on this?

the 134 type oil is a multi-purpose oil that is rated for trans, diffy's final drives, power steering, and hyds..e tc.
1500 is probably more than you need.. I move round bales on a ford 850 with about 800# on the rear plus loaded rear tires ( 13.6-28 ).. and yer tracor is bigger than mine..
