I had a '47 Dodge Brothers for several years. The full time heater worked great at 6000' in Colorado, then moved to San Antonio, TX opening up the windshield, side flaps and front snorkel produced a mini tornado inside the cab!!
Finally sold it and got a new truck with real AC.
It was the only truck I've ever had I did not have to pay for beers.. somebody would see it & have a story about hauling fish in Boston with one and buy the beers!
My post war '47 had chrome nose piece and hood ornament as well as Dodge lettering along hood.
Only caution is remember to release the barking brake before driving - off seeing a red glow from the burning band around the driveshaft under the truck after dark right next to the fuel tank makes for a quick decision to either throw dirt on it or RUN!
I had an Uncle with a '66 Dodge 1 ton and the transmission wind up sounds were identical to the '47.
