1949 8N Won't Start

they are very nimble. I actually prefer the slightly heavier / larger 600/800/900 series units however.. the N , being a tad smaller and lighter get in and out of places pretty easilly.

Okay so now a quick question about the 3 point operation. What is the easiest way to remove the blade to put on my 3 point auger attachment?

I like to set implements down on blocks or timbers to keep them off the ground. plus usually you can scoot them a bit with a prybar if needed.

I backup to an implement with arms raised, overshoot the pins a hiar and drop the arms on top of the pins... if I aim correctly and hit the clutch correctly, the ball ends are basically setting on top of the pins, or maybee just a hair past. Usually very easy to put a hand on a tire and scoot that size of a tractor and inch or 2 either way.. then just tslip them on. then do the toplink last.

Hopefully you have your auger hunk in a tree or similar.. that makes them way easier to hook back up

That's a tough one. Were it a Deere,New Holland or even a Ford hundered series, there are multiple tricks but I think you need an 8n for each empliment unless it's a FEL then you can have something on the rear also.

Unfortunately, the auger is just laying ont the ground. I'm probably going to have to get my neighbor to help manhandle it into position.

The blade was on the tractor when I bought it a little over a year ago, so I've never put the auger on. I know the auger is going to have to be sitting on something to get it into position.
