1962 MF 202 workbull loader hydraulics

Thanks. Yes, I know that backhoe will be an adventure. I don't even know yet which one it is. One model had a "sliding kingpost."
But this will give me an idea what I need. Both the Revers-O-Matic and the loader will want ATF, the trans/diff wants all mineral 80W or 90W.
Now I know those three capacities.

mine is a 4 cylinder Diesel engine it was stead to be a MF 205 when I got it is that correct? It only has a single stage clutch!

Does anybody know what the front hydraulic can be replaced with?

Hi Paul,

What model tractor and loader do you have? Most of the older Masseys had an SAE type A mount hydraulic pump. Pump size varies depending on your loader model. A safe bet is 12gpm or more, SAE type A. But if you've got the model 102 loader, they came with a 17gpm pump.

Check out Surplus Center for new pumps at reasonable prices. When shopping, pay close attention to the RPM at which the pump produces it's rated output. For example, 17gpm @ 2000rpm is pretty good. 17gpm @ 3400rpm not so good- you'd have to be revving past PTO RPM to get full capacity.

This may be to late to help anyone but here is how the front pump is mounted on my 1962 203

.
The plate bolts to the crankshaft pully.
The shaft goes through the hollow axle pivot
The plate bolted to the pully has rubber bushings allowing the shaft to flex for minor misalignment.



The keyed pump shaft just slips in the shaft



This pump was bought on surplus center. Cessna brand I think it was around 20 gpm. It only has four hours on it.
If you want pump numbers ill post. Wife just brought lunch. Gota go.

The numbers of the pump. I think it was $325.
My old pump had a built in bypass . I installed an inline bypass.
I searched for a week online to find this pump. Its like the original but without the built in bypass. I'm going to put antisieze on the pump shaft. In six months its starting to rust.
