I could be wrong but I think what SG is trying to tell you is. If you were to plumb it with the adapter plate you have....Instead of just dumping the fluid to the tank. The DA valve is going to see pressure on both sides, pressure & return (back pressure on valve) when the 3ph is used.

I see what you mean.... Hydraulics to me is like a martian language and needs to be completely dumbed down to me unfortunetely..

Yep output will be low pressure line to sump. Lines to and from valve input and pb-c are high pressure.

The tank line basically lets you exhaust oil from a cyl while the down stream port is under pressure.
