Locally they had gotten cheap but have jumped 25-50% for the same tractor as of late. Still when you look at $6K-$10K ZTM's these grunt work horses seem like a good buy even today.
Used prices seem to be tracking the new prices. I am seeing dealers offer new purchase price as the trade in value for 30-50 year old tractors in solid condition or even more if in mint condition.
In 1962 dad bought a new Ford 801 for $3200. Let me know if you find one that looks good and is ready to work for another 10 years for that price. Today it takes the better part of $2000 just to put new tires/tubes on an 801.
I do not have any equipment today that I would price it for what I gave for it. In fact I would not price it for 2x just because I want it and know its condition and how to work on it. :thumbsup:
