Found this tractor for sale for $16500. It has 4000 hours, has loader and Hydraulic gannon. Is this a good deal? Is this a good tractor? Thanks Danny

I am not familiar with pricing on these tractors, but the tractor itself is a tank. Demand should remain rather high for these old-school industrial tractor loaders since they are no longer made. Try doing some research on 545D prices on ironsearch.com.

I have a 2WD 1998 555E Loader Backhoe that I bought with 2,000 hours for $18,000 two years ago.

I bought it from a dealer close to Dallas called http://www.tnt-tractor.com/ and would say his prices are pretty decent. To get lower, you start getting into issues that may be hidden or somebody is trying to pull something.

My favorite source for priceing and shopping aroung is at http://www.equipmenttraderonline.com/

4,000 hours isn't real bad on an engine, but it's quite a bit on the hydraulics. I'd be prepaired to rebuild the cylinders if they haven't already been done.

I'm also thinking that the price is top dollar and a little high, but don't know your area and what prices are like there.
