How do you figure this? The first person to register was Member #1, so the 20,000th person would be Member #20,000.

I know that there was no Year 0, and we started counting at Year 1, so your 20,001 theory would hold in that case, but this forum did start at Member #0.

Actually didn't Muhammad once say that #1 or maybe even the first couple were 'test accounts' - so the REAL 20,000 live breathing TBN member might just be #20,001 or #20,002! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Because not all users are/were Registered Members. There was a time you could post on TBN and not register -- but had a user number. The 20,000 is referring to Registered Members.

Member count indicates how many member accounts currently exist.

Member number is how many member registrations there have been.

We lost about 1500 accounts at one point, in a data corruption, plus every now and then we delete an account.

Right now, the latest member number is 21517, compared to 20027 accounts that exist.
