No go. I quit my job Saturday. Maybe next month if I can't buy something that'll work.

I would recommend that you buy a Wilson5000 magnet mount and get it over with.
Mounting CB antenaes on corners of vehicles at best if your swr are low puts you recieving and transmitting directionally.
Mounting an antanae square on roof with your swr's low puts you omni-directional.
Big rig over the road trucks obviously can't mount or most won't mount antenaes on roof. That why lots of them run dual antenaes(one on each mirror)for better reception/trans and also makes rigs look sharper.

Back from the dead. I measured the height of the bracket, came off on a 45, and made a 2.25"x2.25" square for the antennae to bolt through. I then left about a 3/8" gap between the body of the truck and the back of the square plate. The stock I used was stainless and the weld was gonna be small, so I carried it across town to the good welding shop. Had him make a pass on each side of the angled piece and then I carried it home to make the holes. The antennae is one I had back in 1994 and is used for mock up purposes. I plan on either a shorter black one or a steel whip. The rust is from a previous bedliner and is to be addressed when I get back home. I picked up a Cobra Ultra III that is going to get peaked and tuned when I get the new antennae. I unscewed the ashtray bracket and mounted the CB in this hole.

I don't really need or use a CB, but it sure would be handy had I had one in the past; next Katrina, winter storms (seem worse the further south they are), interstate traffic jams.

33/1050-15s. It's about 2.5" lift. I've got some OME 880s, which are 1.25"+/- for a v-6, on a 4 cyl. New 5 leafs in the rear with some 1" shackles. Still hasn't seen the mud since I put all this together around March. :(
