The bolt I listed (1/4-20 x1-1/4) is what's listed in the manual as the right bolt. I guess I'm gonna be taking it apart. Thanks for the input guys.

On my model they use bolts of the same size for the auger and impeller but they are different hardness with the impeller bolt being the hardest one. That's the only reason I mentioned it. At any rate you might consider starting a new thread since your question was buried in a discussion about oil which might not get that many reads. Good luck and I hope you find what's ailing your blower before the next 30" snow comes rolling in. I used a loader for 11 years before getting the blower this year so I know how you feel at having to go back.

getting back to the impeller shear bolts....make sure that augers are set up properly. On mine the left and right are 180 degrees apart in rotation. Should be covered in the manual and there maybe a sticker on the blower to that effect.

Thanks to both you and Sandyc. The position of the augers makes sense, but no mention of that in the manual I have. Will check the bolt hardness but also no mention in the manual.. New to the process, so didn't know how to starta thread and get it to the right audience. Pick the one because it was about the B2660.
