Does it have hydraulic shuttle? Would be nice for loader work. I have a late 80s L 4150 5 cylinder, hydraulic shuttle, with 4500 hrs sheet metals beat to crap hell the cab door fell off last year lol, bottom line it still runs amazing the power may surprise you. I just change all oil and filters annually. it's my primary tractor for our small farming operation, tilling brush hogging, and plowing. That generation of kubotas are amazing imho.

Update!
I went and drove this tractor and looked it over and decided it was BIGGER than I was wanting. I was surprised at how big it was. I also looked at a L3301 the same day and realized, yes... this is more what I'm thinking! I am sorta heart broken, because the power and the price were great...

Now the search will start for a used 33 type. I am not in a big hurry, so will just secure my funding and see what I end up with. The 0% for 84 month financing is awfully tempting, but I think I'll hold out for a lightly used thats 5-10 years old and save some money!

If you are the type that can sell a car you've got, buy the darn tractor!

The one I used a few years ago had a 72" bucket. The biggest problem I had with the one I used was I thought the shifting was very balky. Hard to get engaged and not like "breathing" as I was used to with a smoother shuttle shift. Shifter was between the legs and wouldn't have been too bad if you could get in gear more easily.
What you're looking at is a 30 year old tractor. Kubota has always been pretty good for parts availability but I would check to see what is available anyway.

Another option: 12K is a pretty good down payment on a newer machine with more up to date mechanicals..

Don't get lulled by "price" alone. Look at everything in terms of what you need to do, how comfortable the ergonomics are, how long you're gonna be doing what you're doing now on this piece of land and decide accordingly.

It sucks if you need a machine to do what you want it to do, only to have it not up to the task because of other related stuff such as ease of use and/or dependability.

0% is the biggest scam going to sell anything from cars to furniture to tractors.. All of the "interest" one thinks they're NOT paying, is already imbedded in the price of the item and you have had no say what the interest rate is.

if I lived near you i would buy that tractor in a second. Hydraulic shuttle or not 12k is a great price for a pre emission 50hp 4wd tractor with a fel because its a Kubota and owned by a mechanic 3k hours is nothing. The used tractor market around here is pretty much dried up, unless your looking for very old or very new.

People are always buying a tractor that is too small. One fellow's wife at work bought a new Kubota BX, and within a week realized it was too small. The dealer allowed her to swap it out for a B size frame tractor, same hp. I believe that the dealer allowed her full return value for the BX. Hardly anyone trades down, most trade up to a bigger size. I bet that 5 cylinder diesel is a smooth as butter. The overlap of the power pulse on a 5 cylinder makes for a very smooth torque curve. A diesel had a 120 degree power pulse out of the 720 degree cylinder cycle rotation, hence most diesels are 3 cylinder. As jjeff said, I would buy that tractor if I lived near you. Never hurts to have back up.

You guys are making me think more!!! Thats for sure! Thanks for the input.

I just feel like working around the barn and in the garden near the fence and near the house doing landscaping... it'll be much more clunky than the L33ish... with Hydro stat... but geesh, so I buy it, use it a year... dont like it, sell...

I haven't sat and calculated the zero payment thing. I can get a tractor for like 23500 cash... or 25 @ 0%... need to run the numbers.
