True, but that's OPEC, not the oil companies.

Even with OPEC and the big oil companies manipulating our prices...

technically, when OPEC lowers supply, that is supply and demand. less supply (no matter how it happens, war, disaster, OPEC) results in higher prices.

I have to agree with you there. Even if the big oil companies that are operating in the OPEC countries, conspire with OPEC to lower production and raise prices, this is still supply and demand, even though it is manipulated.

Sorry, but I just read this thread this week and didn't realize it was so old. In that case I will offer to make the bet and extend the deadline until February.
