I've actually considered making my own ethanol free gas, it is easy to remove by deliberately adding water, shaking and then removing the water bottom. This is the method used to test for ethanol, just do it on a little grander scale in small quantities for my little used engines that sit mostly. Wouldn't be worth it to do for a car. What I don't know yet is what it does to the octane rating. Besides my small engines on lawn equipment, I am really concerned about the water and possible deterioration problems caused by ethanol in my fuel injected motorcycle, my fuel injected boat motor both of which sometime sit for months and my ATV which also sits for long periods. I think some backyard chemistry experimentation is in order
