2 WIRE WELL PUMP PROBLEMS

I've been using the CS pumps all year with no problems. I've only heard of a few cases where they have given problems. Cary have you personally seen any failures? I used to use the Goulds LS (Brass head) but they discontinued it in favor of the CS series. The GS is Goulds top of the line pump.

I have seen several cs pumps piled up behind my Goulds supply house. And I have heard from several installers that the crimped heads are coming loose.

Ended up putting in the Gould HS 10, a 1/2 hp 2wire 230 v 10 gpm pump. The old pump was a Monarch I think. We have sand and precipitated iron in our water so I have a whole house filter on the 1" line going in. The new pump rocks! I had no water pressure from the old pump if I ran a hose from the storage tank at wide open and it took time for the old pump to build up pressure. I back flushed the system with bleach running a hose from the tank back into the well, it was pumping over 35 with the tank valve wide open. I will post if I have any problems with the pump.
