You shouldn't it weakens the intergrity but then again your not driving a car going 70 MPH on the highway where a blowout would be deadly. What do most of us hit in high range. A whaopping 8MPH.

I've tubed several over the years when they have gone flat for whatever reason and never had another problem. If I have another one go flat I will tube it due to my positive experience with tubes. Just another voice from the crowd.

Can you not patch tubes? Are patches too unreliable? I haven't patched a tube since I was a kid who couldn't afford new tubes for his bicycle.

I priced tubes after I plugged a hole in one of my front tires, they were a special order where I went. The tubes cost almost as much as a new tire, about $70 as I recall

Jebus - where'd you shop for tubes? I was getting regular blowouts on my L4200 when I was doing a lot of dirt/stone moving with my FEL a while back. I was running max tire pressure (~35PSI, I think), but still was blowing tires off the rim at least once a day. It was driving me crazy. I stuck in a pair of standard 15" tubes that I got from the local automotive parts place - I think they were $8 apiece. Haven't had a flat since.

Reinflated and then noticed a second leak from a tread, just on the edge of the side wall... had plugs but no glue..QUOTE]

I didn't think you were suppose to plug side wall leaks.. good to know it's possible.

It was just on the extreme edge of the tread. so sidewall, not really

Just curious how much the loam cost? I need to buy some soon.

depends...locally NH it ranges from 15/yd to 30 yard

I get a great 20%composte/80 soil blend. great for new lawn and the garden...for 15/yd. but almost a 150 trucking fee. I am ordering 20 yds ata time, so don't really care to make 6 trips w/ my trailer...

I pay $15/yd delivered for loam. Don't know what kind - black when it shows up, turns light when spread, then nothing grows. Perfect.

Les Schwabb is the place to go in the west - they always have the fixing. In and out in 45 minutes when i flattened each of my B7100 front tires hauling stone in the front loader. Shoulda had tubes in the first place.
