Yep I have heard of the balancer problems on 6.5. The 4L80E is a dang good transmission. GM should have built the 4L60E closer to the 4L80E design and would have had a bullet proof transmission for 1/2 ton trucks.
2001 chevy 2500 died, need ideas

Matman you were right. What I thought was a blank filter has 2 wires coming out of it. I learn something new every day.

Sorry, I had to laugh a bit about that cold comment, as it was -19F here a few days ago. It would be really, really funny, if it were not for the potential crop damage down there.

Our batteries down here get spoiled by the near constant year round temps... and ironically.. when weather makes a cold dip.. all the 'marginal' batteries that have made it during warm temps all take a nose dive.
