Little old lady only drove to church on Sunday kinda cars are great!

Older accord with lower miles was always on my "hit list".

Ended up driving up to Ronaoke, Virginia for the car, after I found it and hand them hold it for me with a deposit to pick it up. Had the title in hand on the ride back, so I decided to call that older woman if I could find out the cars history. I sent her a pic of the boys with the car and thanked her for taking care of it so well. She seemed very appreciative over the fact that I thanked her for taking care of her car.

My current avalon was bought used at 72k on it, and now has 394,000 miles on it, and I can tell you EVERY little quirk that the car has. I know no one would want to buy a car pushing 400k on it, but if I sold it, I'd want to let the person buying it to know exactly what to expect from my own experience.

Thing about buying a used car is you can read reports if they have them on the car, but being able to talk to the person who took care of the machine is so much better IMO.

My boss mans son turned 16 a couple years ago and wanted an older Honda station wagon, they found one. Few months later he was taking his brother to soccer practice and rear ended someone and totaled it. Trooper ask him how fast he was going, he said whatever the speed limit was. Trooper said I'm pretty sure you may have been going faster than that, you left 50' of skid marks going uphill. The guy he hit drove off. Trooper had to go to his house and tell him he didn't do anything wrong. Not sure why he drove away.

Hopefully you never have to deal with that!!!

Couple months ago coming home, right down from our house, cops with lights going and a turned over car "around a corner" (talking to my neighbor who owns the property, happens a lot of times due to speed and the curve on the hill as in over 10 years have seen two other cars in the same spot overturned). Turns out the I know the parents from our old church very well. Their kid driving the car. We talked a bit. Even in a local area, once it's called in, it's called in and you have to deal with it. Things is, the corner is no more than 300 yards from our driveway, and I can't see how anyone would flip out on the corner. Better or worse I can drive fast and have come no where close to losing it on our rural roads. Heck, even on Sundays, people seem to want to drive faster than me going to church though.

My wife rolled our accord with the kids (baby, toddler) inside while I was overseas. Car seats worked great. She was knocked out for awhile. No other cars involved.
