Too heavy is not really what I mean. My property is composed of several smaller lawn areas. I would have a hard time turning the tractor. I think its bettter for a larger "field". Also, I am only concerned about it compacting the soil. Its already failry clay'ey. The lanscaper did a lousy job with the sprinkler and lighting install, too. If I ever go for a lawn aeration, I am pretty sure I will cut the low power cable and the sprinkler supply lines. I have hit them a few times, as they are only about 3" inches deep.

Its just more machine than I need anymore.

Hello All,

Long time lurker, first time poster.
I might be interested in your BX. Where in Mass are you? I live in North Worcester county.

FYI, I just got a quote for a new BX24 TLB for $15,900 less $600 rebate.

How do you have a hard time turning? I just do not get it. The thing turns in like 8 ft dia. I have used (bx22/Bx24) on lawns small as 5K feet and 1+ acre lawns (mine). I use a plugger every fall so that is not and issue.

Also if you PAID to have a sprinkler install and they pull poly line only 3" inches deep, you get $crewed unless they had too. I put them 6+ inches down unless there is NG, electrical etc. But a plugged will not go down 3 inches so you should be fine.. I would mark the heads first.
