The quality of service on a new tractor should be the same whether he paid $15,000. or $25,000 for the tractor and whether he lives next to the dealership or across the country from them.

Hey Zipper,

when you get everything straightend out and have some time to play on the tractor for awhile, let us know what you think compared to your B7800. I've owned two tractors, DX24 and DX33. Just curious what you like better about the TC compared to the kubota, and vice versa. Seems everyone thinks their brand is better but when you ask, they tell you they've never owned any other brand, especially of similar size.

As for birdman, don't take his jibes too serious. I re-read your posts, and other than the original complaint, seems the only ones crying are the ones who didn't get a deal like you got. I'll admit, I don't feel too sorry for you as the problems weren't real serious, but do agree there should be certain minimum expectations of a dealer.

I used to think women b**ch alot but man, find a few guys with tractors and a forum to talk about them and watch out. :D

Price should not be a factor. When you buy new; it should be serviced and ready to go; period. When I take my truck in for service; they do not look up what I paid and adjust the service quality via what I paid.

Birdman,

Nobody is crying here. This is simply a forum to ask questions and relay stories and experiences. I notice your from Texas. Maybe your defending somebody. Why are you so sensitive?

I'll be the first to admit this is not the end of the world but it is pertinent information and I think I pose a fair question. The problems aren't drastic but they are there when they shouldn't be.

My previous tractor was a Kubota B7500 not a B7800. A little difference in size. I loved my little Kubota and had absolutely no problems with it in several hundred hours. The reason I wanted a bigger tractor was that the Kubota had very little seat suspension in it and when mowing my property I would get the heck kicked out of me. The NH is much more comfortable and has a lot more features.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the Kubota, I think they are great machines.

In reference to the NH I bought on eBay. You live and learn. I was ready to buy this same tractor from a local dealer but when I happened to see the same tractor on eBay for much less from a "real" NH dealership I fugured it was a good gamble. If I had to do it over again I probably would not buy this way. That doesn't take away from the poor customer service that I have received from Ewald Tractor.

Birdman, If you ever come to Colorado, look me up. We can have a beer and I'll tell you the story in person

I am from Texas, but a totally different area from the state, so no, I am not defending anyone in particular. I guess I was playing devil's advocate, as much as anything. And, yes, I will take you up on the invitation to have a beer and hear the story. Good luck with your new tractor.

Not that I don't love NH/Ford.. but did the kubota not have a provision for replacing the seat? A couple of my old fords have been 'upgraded' to 'spring' ride suspension seats with arm rests. In fact.. I have just as good a seat on my old 1975 ford 5000 as i do on my 2002 NH 7610s.. Nice thick comfy pads.. arm rests.. adjustable height, and slide control, and best of all.. suspension.. a whole lot more than the 'but bucket' steel pan seats and 'U' spring most of the old fords came with...

good luck with the new tractor.

I'm in the same boat with getting jarred to death while mowing

the CK20 I had is about the same size as the B7500...I upgraded that seat and suspension about as best as I could "on the cheep" (newer factory seat upgrade was about $800)...and I seriously doubt it would even come close to the comfort of the TC33D seat I have now! :D

The spring/slide/swivel seat is one of the big reasons I chose the DX over some competing models. I moved up from a Kubota B7100 with no springs at all and the seat riding solid on the ROPS. It makes a world of difference in my back after several hours on the tractor.

Soundguy, I tried shopping around for a better seat for my Kubota but I never found one that would fit that size tractor. I weigh about 225 pounds so I think I was just too big for that tractor. After I sat on the TC29/33 I knew I really wanted that weight adjustable suspension on the seat. After spending about 6 hours plowing and moving snow the other day I can tell you it makes a world of difference.

I did look at the New Kubota B3030, which has the weight suspension seat, but that seat felt like it made me sit forward, it just wasn't as comfortable to me.

I also wanted a higher lift on on my FEL and the TC29 has that. My B7500 barely cleared the side rails of the bed on my F350 4X4.

Like I said I love the Kubota. I was also looking at the L3130 Kubota but the NH has a lot of nice features that I liked, like the extending 3 point hitch lift arms, tilt and telescoping steering, visibility of the front bucket over the hood, etc. and it just happened that this tractor came along at the right time.

One of my friends bought a JD 3320 just before I bought my tractor and that is an awesome machine as well. I guess it all just came down to timing.

Not sure I understand the description of where you are. From Texas--as not presently living in Texas? Totally different area--as in where? Nothing to do with TDC I hope:confused:
