6 months out of Warranty. What are the chances this could be covered? Is this a common problem?

 **** that sucks!

It does not sound like a common problem.

Give us some more details. Any idea whay it cracked?

Did it overheat? was it mechanical damage.. like a loose bolt in a loder frame.. etc?

Good luck.. but I doubt you will get it warrantied. I had a hyd problem that i discovered after my warranty was up by a few months... upon disassembly of the part it was clear it was a manufacturing defect... still no warranty.. however the daler did help me locate a used part that saved me half the cost of the repair...

More details and even pictures would help us to understand just what happened. If it was not your fault and the tractor just did this on its own then you need to talk to your dealer and if he is good he will put pressure on New Holland to make sure they help out. If he doesn't care and won't do anything then get in touch with New Holland your self and stay on them. Keep records of your conversations also so you can reference back to previous conversations when you are talking to them. It is out of warranty but a major failure this early is not good for anyone and hopefully your dealer will do everything he can to help you out.

It is good to see you back again. TBN definitely helped me through my recuperation period. Take care. By the way I enjoyed your deer pictures and behavioral descriptions :D! Jay

Thanks, TBN gives me something to do during the day so I am usually checking for any updated threads to have something to read. I can only surf the web for so long before I get bored:( and TBN gives me something interesting to read.

Do you know how it cracked? This is the first TC30 that I have heard with a cracked blocked. Did it freeze?

I am trying to ween myself off the pain medicine. So I have a few aches here and there that I am getting use to but other then that I have been doing great. I can walk somewhat normal and do not have to rely on very much anymore which is what I have been aiming for. I don't like being a burden so the more I can do on my own the happier I was. Now the only thing I need help with is driving still since I am not "suppose" to drive. I will drive short distances if I can't find a ride but I have my father drive me into Buffalo to see the doctors. He has to leave work to do this so I don't like it but I don't have much choice in the matter.
