None at the moment
I would like to know how many dealers there are for TYM in the USA and how many tractors they retailed in 2005. I had a TYM rep call me from Oregon. He had no information as he said their organization was hired as an outside firm to contact people for dealerships. It was a cold call and he could not answer any question so I kindly thanked him and told him no thanks not at this time.

Not knocking the TYM as I think it is a good tractor but am more concerned about their ability to give the support needed. I know that for years they promised many people smaller tractors and it took them forever to do it. I know that many dealers fell by the wayside as a result of promises made and not met.

What now makes them viable?

Thanks,
Maka

I received the same call, but just don't understand how they distribute tractors, sounds like a lot of middle men in the deal. He did say they just signed a dealer in north Idaho, must be in your area. Jason

Hello Jcar. I hope all is well. It was great to meet you and your dad.

It just seemed to me that the way the guy called, the lack of information he had and the impersonal approach that it was not right for us.

He said he was calling us first to give us first chance but it looks like we missed out. Oh well, we won't worry to much about it.

Thanks,
Maka

This is funny! Just to be clear though out west we have the genius of TYM-USA not TYM-America which I think is a much better distributor. You didn’t miss out on anything but pain and suffering by not being their dealer. I speak from hard earned experience!!!!

Thanks for the compliment but I would not discount TYM-USA. No one can change the past only the future. Unlike “brands” like Montana that does not build tractors. (Not saying there is anything wrong with Montana.) TYM like other OEM’s had to go through a learning curve here in the USA especially with the wide line of offerings it has now and is bringing to market in the near future. (All through there own in-house R & D) With continued input from dealers and customers alike that learning curve will be ever evolving for the better. When Toyota first came to the USA it was not regarded to favorably, now look at them!

I cannot speak for the past but I have recently met Mr. Mullet and I believe he is fully committed to doing what ever is necessary in helping TYM be recognized nationally (TYM-USA/TYM-America) as the quality “OEM” it is. If indeed they have hired a firm to help find dealer prospects it might be worth asking for a rep to visit with you. After all as TYM grows, as I believe it will, you may find selling them is easier, more profitable and rewarding than competing with them. If I can be of help drop me a PM.

In regards to your earlier question about TYM warranty:
TYM-USA/TYM-America dealers will be able to honor each other’s warranty. This will also include Scorpion tractors. Because in the past tractors were sold with different warranties owners will need to provide proof of warranty. Only the warranty sold with the tractor will be honored. The current warranty provided with new TYM tractors is 5 years, 2 year bumper to bumper plus 3 years on the power train. Power train is parts only at the moment but we hope to make it parts and labor in the future.

So, how many TYMs sold last year? How many dealers are there? How long have they been in the U.S. as this may help me to understand their growth potential.

These are the original questions that seem to be being ignored.

Chipperman,

So if I understand correctly, the last three years of the five year warranty is parts only and only on drivetrain?

Part two of my question concerned deductibles. I thought I heard it was parts only and there was also a deductible per occurence? I'm not sure on that, so I thought I should check. I'm probably wrong because a parts only warranty with a deductible per every occurence would have little value indeed.
