I bet that your right. I bought it down in Boerne, Texas. They are real popular around there. One guy that I talked to calls them "deer shredders".

Hey ! That is exactly the same color I am ordering .
The Grille grard is a must for me as we have Elk everywhere and Moose too, along with big White tails looking to race a truck across the road ! Since you have one ,is the side grill pieces mostly show or are they strong enough to help defend from and animal hitting them ? Can I ask what you paid and where to order one ? Thanks ,

The side pieces that protect the head lights actually have a little metal brace that is welded from the bottom of the tubing down to the bumper. While I don't think that it could withstand a moose impact it is much stronger than a normal brush guard.
The brand is "Ranch Hand" (830) 249-5600 ask for Jerry. Tell him Rick from Charlotte, MI sent you. He knows me quite well by now. They have several different models. Check their website www.ranchhand.com Mine is called the traditional. It retails for about $999. plus shipping. I got a blemished one for $699. plus shipping. They usually have a few blemished ones every month or so.

I didn't want to push my luck in this area since she was pretty supportive of the truck purchase. It was also embarassing to drive it to work with the cow bell on. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

My wife's Suburban had a "Ranch Hand" brand front grill guard on it when I bought it. I don't know about any other brands, but that thing is for real! You're not going to grab a hold of it and twist it into a pretzel like some I've seen. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

The shipping weight was over 300 lbs! My dealer used a shop crane to mount it to the truck. The main tube of the bumper is 4 " schedule 40.
There is a brand called Tough Country that is very similar. Their claim to fame is that Ted Nugent owns 4 and Jesse James (West Coast Choppers) owns one.
