Re: 2006 ford truck \"King Ranch\"??
Me post a picture ? I have never been able to get a picture to post on TBN correctly yet /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. They just come out like a postage stamp . I do have a very interesting story to tell about the truck /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif .
Because I am a resident of Idaho and I purchased the truck in California while visiting my father and healing from a broken ankle ,I was told that because I intended to register and pay sales tax in Idaho that the truck would be turned over to me at the state line only . No problem ,I thought, as I intended to leave in a few days for my home state /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif . The day before my departure date my father was admitted to the hospital with heart problems /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif . I called the Ford dealer and informed them that I would not be leaving for a few more days or weeks and explained what had happened to my Dad. They informed me that if I took delivery at the stateline and then tried to reenter California without Idaho Registration plates on the truck I would be subject to a huge fine from the Highway Patrol and they did'nt care what my excuse was /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif . I went to the local California DMV and got told to take a hike when I tried to explain the situation /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif.Then I got chewed out in front of about twenty people for not waiting in line and asking a question to the one DMV lady taking a break behind the counter /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif! So ,I leave their thinking my truck will be parked in a unprotected spot at the Ford dealer for God knows how long before I can take delivery /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. I check the truck this morning and guess what ? Its unlocked and the keys are now missing and now the Ford Dealer can't find the neccessary Paperwork that Idaho needs to register the truck /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif ! I finally call my Motor Vehicle Dept in my state of Idaho in desperation and explained the situation to them . No Problem they say . Fax a sales agreement, VIN number verification by police department and they will make me a temporary permit and fax it back /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. When I asked how to send a check for the fees to them ,the lady tells me she will
personally pay my fee's and I can reinburse her when I return home /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif . I have never met or talked with this lady in my Life ! When I try to tell her how thankful I am for her graditude and help ,she just told me to stop worring ,take good care of my Dad ,tell him hi from Idaho and hurry home when I could .She faxed the temporay permit about 5 minutes later . /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
The truck is now sitting in the driveway , the keys never were found and they ended up making 2 new ones at the Ford dealer /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif. No sign of the missing Ford paper work as yet /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif. The good news is , Dad is starting to respond to treatment and looking better /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif . Oh , and there is a lady in Idaho that now has a "letter of appreciation" emailed to her boss tonight and my total respect and admiration. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Now I think I know why I move out of Califonia /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif !
