2006 TN75AA 4WD

Trying to find a tractor that will run a batwing, 8ft hay cutter, round baler, and other smaller implements, roughly 300 acres.

I found the 06 TN75AA for about $14k with 915 hours and no loader. Any thoughts?

I have a 2003 TN75 and the only issue I have is the clearance under the tractor for the hay baler. I pull a 10 foot brush hog, 9 foot cutter, 10 foot disk and 4 bottom plow with no problems but the clearance is an issue with my 2wd.

thats a fair price on the tractor.but dont know what size baler youll be pulling with it.

In regards to clearance, are you referring to the winrow's when round baling? The one I found is a 4wd, does it have better clearance?

Well, the baler we have currently is an old Hesston that puts out around a 5" bale. In the future, we might get a little larger baler, maybe a 6'.

A TN75 isn't enough horse for a 5x6 round baler.

your going to need a min of 85hp to pull a 5 by 6 baler.

That's 85 PTO HP, not gross engine HP.

Actually, looking at a TL100 (90PTO) now instead.

After talking to a number of people though, it seems more and more people are moving away from the larger bales because of handling difficulty as well as being more difficult to transport on a trailer without hanging off the edge.

you move away from the bigger bales 2 things will happen.1 your cows will eat the lil bale real fast.we put out a 4 by 6 bale an our cows inhaled it in a days time.2if you bale 200 5by 6s a year.youll bale bale 250 4 by 6s.an youll double your hay needs.

A pound of hay weighs 16 ounces whether it is in a 4x5 package or a 5x6 package. If you store hay outdoors, the percentage of waste will be lower with the 5x6 due to less surface area per pound. Overwidth transport IS a problem in many areas and WILL NOT become less of a problem over time.
