Buying Advice 2007 Kubota BX 24 or Brand new JD 2320

I would go with the Kubota over the John Deere for two reasons. If you need a BH, the Kubota has one and while I don't have a JD2320, I have a 2305 and have had nothing but problems with the deck and this is a common issue dealt with on the JD site. Mine is a 2008 and the deck lift hooked with the three-point is so poor that dealers most often recommend the unit be set up with the hydraulics used on your FEL. This works fair, but leaks down pretty quickly to the deck height stop setting unlike the Kubota. My deck height adjustment has been repaired twice and we are now using it as a floating as opposed to suspended deck until I can find the time to haul it back to the dealer who won't cover it as it two months out of warranty.

Also, go look at the mower belts on a John Deere in comparison to a Kubota; Kubotas are about twice as wide. Of course how important this is, is open to intrepretation as I have yet to break a belt on a John Deere.

Since my tractor is two years old, this may have changed, but it is worth looking into. You might want to go onto the JD forum and check the archives or post an inquiry. Overall, I still think John Deere makes very good equipment and are definitely worth serious consideration.
