2011 Cub Cadet Yanmar ex2900 fuel problems

Hi all,
Embarrassed to say I haven’t posted in a while but have kept reading here on occasion. I need help with a problem. Super frustrated right now in middle of heavy snow.
Tractor has always run flawlessly. 400hrs. I was getting ready to blow snow the other night. Put fuel in it and how it looked pouring in made me pause, like maybe there were water beads i was seeing. I had gotten it from a little used pump…first mistake. It was dark so im not sure. Anyway, it stalled 10 min later while still warming up. Got it started n proceeded to blow snow for 30min. Then stalled again. Added anti gel anti water power service. Parked it. Ive been able to start it last couple days. It was running for 30 min yesterday but wouldnt go above 2k rpm. Would get white smoke. Put new spin on filter today. Took fuel sample. No indication of water. Then took off strainer/bowl and cleaned that. Now, here’s where it gets weird, when i turned fuel valve back on to take another fuel sample, no fuel is coming out. I took fuel cap off to alleviate any vacuum. Now im really perplexed n agitated to say the least. Any ideas? I’ve not confirmed any water to this point.

Chances are, the water froze in the fuel lines. Water can mix/blend well enough with diesel to the point its hard to distinguish.

In the Yanmar Vintage section here, we always state to use fresh diesel from a very active popular truck stop. Nobody really can trust off-road pumps for their seldom being use any more.

I got some water-contaminated fuel in a JD 510 BH-FEL I was using doing some volunteer work. It came from some 5 gallon cans left outside. It took a couple doses of Power Service, several hours of running, I believe new fuel filters as well, to get it fully cleared out. Fuel is too often the issue.
