No power to dash or head lights. Checked all fuses and they are good. Don't know how to check relays though.

Checked fusible link with test light by touching both posts and it does have power, doesn't that mean that fuse is good.

What do you mean "number 3 power on both sides"? Please explain, thanks.

Did you put one lead of your test light on one post and the other on the other post?
If so and you are using a test light, put your clip on a chassis ground, then look for power on both posts,
if your tester makes a circuit around a fuse it will light with a bad fuse and not light up with a good fuse.

LouNY: that may be my problem. I could be testing the fuseable link wrong. I think I understand now and I will try again

I started my 5065e a few days ago and it ran for about 30 seconds, then died. Would not make a sound when I tried to restart NOR did it have any lights. Everything is dead including starter and all lights and gauges. I removed battery and had it tested by 3 different shops and they all said battery good just needed charging which I did. Put back on tractor still no starter, no lights or gauges. Re-cleaned battery terminals, checked all fuses, checked fuseable link, still nothing, starter will not turn over, no lights or gauges. Tractor only has 350 hours. Any thoughts or ideas will be appreciated.
Timurray, are there any connectors in the wiring between the battery and the starter? If so, does it go to a main fuse that powers all other electrical functions?

I finally removed 100amp fuse from fuseable link and tested it with my multimeter for continuity. NO reading, so I assume that fuse is my problem, does anyone agree? I am going to pick up a new fuse on Monday and try it, thanks to everyone who helped me with this problem.

Thats probable it if there is no continuity

timmuary, do you have an electrical schematic diagram for your tractor?

I'd look for a reason that the 100A fuse blew.. or the new one may blow likewise.

Think I would rig up a light bulb to plug in to the fuse slot. If the lightbulb glows, then there is a short. Find the short before plugging in a new main fuse..

I replaced the 100 Amp fuse in the fuseable link and that solved my problem. Tractor now cranks and all lights work. Thanks so much to all of you who gave me advise and help.

You can get the shop books from the dealer they cost a few bucks, How much was the fuse ?
