2013 Kioti DK35SE Information

By "higher end" I don't mean necessarily mean weight, I mean features. Features that matter when you get older and weaker. :)
If I remember right, On top some of the nice features DK se series had vs the DS, the DK gear models were synchronized shuttle and synchronized main gears forward and reverse (shift on the go)
The DS series were not synchronized shuttle and gears. (stop to shift)

The DS3510 was also a 3 cyl. The DK40 and up were all 4 cyl.

The DS is a basic tractor only available with a shuttle in the smaller 35 and only got the option of power shuttle with 40 and up.

The DK could be had in HST or shuttle but that alone makes some think its high end in todays world, those of us who prefer a shuttle are in the minority on this web site.
The DK could be had with a cab the DS is open station only.
Other type of things the DK comes standard with that make people consider it upper end are
Telescopic 3 point ends
telescopic stabilizers
crank adjustable lift link
tilt steering
loader control built into the platform as opposed to being attached to the loader, there are others but I'm tired
For me the DK was a much more comfortable tractor overall but I really didn't have a problem with the DS except for the loader control placement and the fact the wife wanted HST this time around.

If I stumbled upon a DS with the Power shuttle for a good price I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if I had a need for an other tractor maybe even as a spare or a replacement for one of my older machines. The few that I know of around here have happy owners just like those with the DK/SE series. Actually I only know of one Kioti owner around me who isn't/wasn't happy with his tractor and he went too small when he purchased but remedied that by selling it and buying a bigger Kioti.

The 2014 DS4110 I'm looking @ ( FWIW, I am not looking at a DS3510) has a 2 lt, 4 cyl engine plus a KL402 loader/controls forward not on station as described by paul above.
The 2013 DK35SE I'm looking @ has a 3cyl engine and likely has a weaker KL351 loader (I'll know more on that soon from pics coming) and the DS has the same shuttle shift setup as my older DK40 but with the different reverse.
Of the two I'm considering, both with FEL's, the DS has no added attachments while the DK35 has a roof and an orange bush hog of some kind-both have 300+ hours on them and both are one owner and very clean machines.
The distance is doable on either one to fetch them. Both have tilt steering, the DK has remotes, the DS I'll be out that cost as I need them but it's probably gonna be cheaper by the $$$ amount difference in price. The 3 point ends are not a deal breaker for me nor is the crank lift link.
I have short arms so do question if the loader control placement matters much? On mt DK40 with no FEL I'm real close to the dash so seems like not a big reach to joystick?
There is another DK35SE available for a bit less money then the 2013 but much farther away and a 2011 model but has only 127 hours plus comes with a nice & pricey landpride box blade.
Time will tell...

kantuckid;4857331I'm not sure I quite get the details of a DK35SE as a higher end machine than a DS4110? That DS has a 4cyl engine said:
We know what your looking at but understand High end is not a dictation for size or HP. If looking at the DS little brother the DS3510 it would also have a 3 cyl Just as looking at the DK35SE's bigger brothers means stepping up to a 4cyl.

I just looked at a listing for a DK5510 which has the 1.8lt, 3cyl., 111 c.i. engine. it's less money than the 2013DK35SE and has only 10 hours but same nasty emissions stuff as the DK4110 and set up very similar. Strong loader but must be the same frame as many newer Kioti's? Does have same size tires as my old DK40

The DS4110 does not have any of the "nasty emissions stuff" on it.
DK4510 thru 5510 share the same frame, they do not share a frame with the NX series.
They share engines, that's pretty much it.

My most of interest two machines at this point the 2013 & a 2011 DK35SE tractors. Both are shuttle with same loader-KL351. The 2011 is further away but 127hrs while the other has 365 hrs. Both are kept inside and honest, very clean, one owner machines. The 2011 comes with a Land Pride BB1572 box blade, the 2013 comes with a canopy which I'll remove & sell. Price is bit higher on the 2013. Decisions, decisions.
Thanks for the helpful info above!

In one of the DK35SE pics I have, I see two right side pedals with forward/reverse arrows. Does operation have you selecting a gear, then simply press the pedal for chosen travel direction? Foot throttle is where?

He seems to have convinced himself otherwise. He has been told several times it is pre tier 4 emissions but keeps going back to saying it has emissions,

This DS 4110 is a dealer item so I'm calling Monday. Web says they are "pre-tier 4" and every way i looked that up it is what this 2014 has on it. To go on, it also says stuff that seems to me to make it, what I call simply tier 4 period. It does have the power reverse per the ad.

The DK35SE tractor- I just talked to the guy about it again to ask some questions- it came from Kioti dealer with a 5' orange rotary cutter as OE set up. How good are they-who makes them?

As a thought- I currently have a 6' BH16 Bush Hog brand that I might be better off selling and buy his with the orange hog on it?- price wise, not quality wise?
His hog is a $500 part of his price point -I see BH16's priced out of sight from $1,900 up to $3,000, so I could pocket some money by taking in the hog I don't need.
Is 73 old?
My DK40 has shuttle & I like that one best. The only time I change gears much is when I'm rototilling my garden and creep in garden then back up faster after a gear change. Handy dandy those shuttle shifts. Now if I was playing fork lift operator I'd like a HST.
IMHO keep the BH16 they are pretty stout..verses other brands
