Just the part was 209.00, I had a friends mechanic come to my shop and change it. He charged me 150.00, it took him about 45 minutes to do the job. I just fetched him tools so he didn't have to keep getting off the floor.
How old is the starter? I had a backhoe do almost the same thing. Would drain down a new battery like it had a dead cell. Auto parts store told me the windings were bad on the starter. Put in a new starter never had a problem again
