Your 55 is a 3cyl. Completely different animal than the 4cyl with cold start sensor.

Some JD tractors with 3 cyl engines such as 5210 & early 5055E have cold start solenoids

Thanks for the help i have a 5055e same problem and it was that sensor unplug it and started right up

So exactly where is this sensor on the 3cyl engines ?
