Hello Everyone, I'm looking for guidance.
I have a 2018 Yanmar YT359 and I bought a new Woods BH-90x backhoe for it from an implement dealer in the next state over. Then I went to the nearest Yanmar dealer to purchase the sub-frame for the tractor so I could be sure I got the correct one. The Yanmar dealer ordered the sub-frame from Woods and it was shipped to my house. The sub-frame itself cost a little over $2,000.
I received it last fall and tried to install it in spring. Nothing seemed to make sense. After three attempts I finally took it in to my local tractor dealer who offered to install the sub-frame for $800. They spent half a day working on it and after they spoke with both Yanmar and Woods they informed me that Woods does not make a sub-frame for my Yanmar YT359 that goes with their BH-90x backhoe. However they do build the B90 backhoe specifically for Yanmar. The local tractor dealer didn't charge me for their time which I was very happy about.
Apparently there's something different about the Yanmar rear axel that prevents the Woods sub-frame from working properly with my new Yanmar. The sub-frame they sent me was for a John Deere they thought would work. I returned the sub-frame for a refund but they would only refund 70% of my money.
I asked if I could buy the proper sub-frame for my tractor that works with the yanmar B90 (thinking I could make a transition plate if the bolt holes didn't line up). Yanmar and Woods both told me they cannot sell the b90 sub-frame separately so now I'm stuck with a new Woods BH-90x that I cannot use. I suppose I'll have to sell it.
I could use a 3-point connection but I've read that's not good for the tractor.
With all the experience the members have on this forum I was hoping you could provide some guidance. Is there any other option I could try? I have 100 acres and several jobs waiting for a backhoe.
Any/all input is appreciated.
