Anyone have a new 2020 Can-Am Defender? I'm looking into upgrading my present 2008 Polaris Ranger XP-700 EFI to a 2020 Defender Lone Star Crew.

Can-Am Defender | Side-By-Side 2;)

Opinions?

Lost creek, those are some mighty strong looking window guards, is crime that bad there?

We bought this place in 2006 and until I retired 3 years ago .. we were here on weekdays only.

But no .. we’ve never had any problems.

It's a nice looking unit.
I like that extended version for a work horse.
I can't remember what there was about the Can-Ams last year that I didn't.
Does that have front and rear diff locks or is the rear always locked?

I believe there is a rear differential lock switch to the right of the 2WD / 4WD switch.

You wouldn’t want to lock front.

You're right, I have Yamaha rhino special edition and whenever I turn on the driveway it leaves ugly marks or sharp on the grass and it tears it up...:(

On my Warrior 800, I have 2wd, 4wd, rear diff lock and front diff lock.
I have had it all locked up several times, for mud and hills, especially good for pulling others out of situations.

???

One of the reasons I buy Yamahas is that they DO allow the front diff to be locked. I get in too many situations where only one front tire and one rear tire is touching the ground on a steep, washed-out uphill trail. Lock it, get over the bad spots, then immediately unlock it to make steering easier!

A lot of the newer UTVs - Honda and Polaris come to mind - have a computer that applies the brake to whichever front tire is spinning. Me - I trust the front locker versus putting trust in a computer!

When I was looking last year the CanAm in my opinion was a great choice. You will be happy with it.

I don't use mine for rock crawling .. just ranch work.

I don't use 4WD or AWD unless I need to.
