2020 step

Yeah, thanks, the ortho Dr said it was a very bad fracture, but the surgeon at the trauma center in FL did a good job putting Humpdy Dumpty back together. I'm looking for a villa in Italy, good luck on that one. Luckily the wife is in good physical health otherwise.

Anyhow, I think this bracket is not going to work because of the front end loader. I may be able to put the step off the loader bracket somehow, but I'll have to look into that when I get to the barn.

Longer bolts IIRC . I will have to look at my 2630 with step and loader. when I installed the loader I recall putting 2 longer bolts so step stayed where it was.

The parts book does mention 2" 5/8" bolts for use with "side frames".

Well, I looked at it this evening and there is a spacer between the loader bracket and the trans that's about as thick as the step bracket, but the step would be in a very inconvenient location, right under that loader bracket. It would work if I could weld the step bracket on the back of the loader bracket, facing rear, but I don't have anything to weld that heavy stuff and the bolts on the loader bracket are 1", at least and only one of them, but if I could get one of the holes on the step bracket that large it may go on but only with one bolt. I'll get pictures if I get it mounted.

How about a couple pics of where you want to mount it? Might be someone could offer some suggestions that won't need welding.

You should mount it first and see , Mine is mounted there and it is very convenient to step up on the tractor while using the loader arm as a handle.

Mounting it first may be best. Otherwise I could enlarge the top hole for the large bolt on the outside and weld a nub on the inside of the step bracket to go into a hole I can drill to keep it from moving. Here's what it looks like right now.

Your loader is different than mine . Search tractor house for your model with loaders and there should be some pics to help with mounting

If I can mount it between the loader bracket and trans, where it usually goes, maybe I can move the step all the way towards the rear, that may work, but the other option is like I said, drill out the top hole and mount it under that large 1" bolt and make a nub to keep it from rotating.

Can't tell for sure, but will it slip behind the foot rest just ahead of the clutch? Maybe if it does, then it is to far under the clutch and foot rest to help you use it as a step.
But I think you will figure something out to make it work..

I will snap a pic of mine when I get home but the loaders are different
