If I get it to work acceptably, I'll post a pic.

I took off one of the bolts that hold the loader bracket to the trans case and it's a 3/4" bolt. I'm thinking I'll just drill out the top hole in the step bracket and mount it under the outside 3/4" bolt on the outside of that loader bracket. Don't know how this step bracket could be installed on the trans even without the loader bracket as they too are 3/4", unless they were enlarged to mount the loader. I haven't a clue, but I'll get it on.

Spending most of my days helping the wife at this point. She can't put any weight on the bad foot and is on a rolling walker but still needs help with that. Full time nurse here, cooking, laundry and everything, at least we can afford a cleaning person and gardener at least one day a week. I guess this is what they call 'for worse'.

Hang in there one reason I am on TBN so much is at times I have to stay close taking care of my mother. I have been a part time now full time care giver for a while. I can work my jobs most of the time but lost the entire month of January this year. Got to take care of family!

What model loader? I had the same step and bracket on my 2030 before I added a loader.
My loader (245 JD) has mounts that bolt to the front side frame holes then attach to the rear axle.
I took two pieces of metal and sandwiched the loader frame (the tube that goes to the rear axle) between them. One top, the other bottom, with a bolt on each side through them.
The bottom piece is longer and sticks out long enough to bolt the step (removed from the JD bracket) to it.
