Peach tree is in bloom. Blueberries are leafing out well with buds forming, as are the pear and some apple trees. Some flowers are in bloom, others are still clawing their way out of the ground.

And the weather gang is using the F word. Both of them. Calling for 29 later this week.

Oh well.

What part of the world you in? Sounds like here in the middle part of ohio.

Yesterday almost felt like time to put corn in the ground. Dry and warm. But calling for below freezing tonight. But everything has turned like 10 shades greener in the past week

And here I was, just happy that this week we tipped the scales where grass exposure > snow coverage on our lawn.

It's been a weird spring here, though. It came early, and fast. My boys were sledding in t shirts earlier this week.

March isn't spring here in northern New England. Neither is April. We will get a few days (like we had last week) that make you think otherwise, but don't be fooled.

Ground is soft/mushy on top - still frozen down deeper. Some days will get into upper 50's in the afternoon. It's spring here but it can still get cold, damp and breezy. At least the meadows are greening up and no visible snow. Brownie & I have been able to enjoy some warm afternoons outside. Cabin fever is definitely on the wane.

Baby peaches, baby apples, baby blueberries .....

And frost in the forecast.

The orchardists just NW of me have gone from smudge pots to "air movement" to ward off frost. Tall towers - big electric motors - large airplane propellers. Air movement thru the orchards will ward off frost.
