I'm a thinking I will spray them with dawn dish soap if they start showing up. We treat many of our garden/fruit with it. Works pretty good as a contact killer, doesn't do a thing if they are not present at the time of spraying. So... Spray a few times a day when they show up, I'm a thinking.

One of the guys in our tractor club got hit real bad the other day with 300 stolen out of the field at one time. This is about 4 miles from my house. Hundreds of pumpkins stolen from pumpkin patch in Pickerington

Is this the patch you can see from 70?

Wife and I cleaned out the greenhouse for winter. Picked the last of the Roma tomatoes and some hot peppers. Planted more everbearing strawberry runners into the strawberry barrel and topped it off with soil, manure and peat moss.

Next to do is move the flower planters that we want to overwinter into the greenhouse and bury in the dirt to overwinter.

We were gone for a week and came back to a bunch of blooming asters. Nice surprise.

Do you overwinter the strawberries in the greenhouse as well? If so, how regularly do you give them water?

They freeze solid just like in the ground. If we have a warm spell, I'll take two gallons of water out there and pour it in the reservoir. Maybe 3-4 times over the winter is all it takes.

Making pumpkin puree today! These are Autumn Buckskin. 16 pounds going into the smoker today.

Smoked pumpkins? Never thought to try doing that... Hmmm Might be a new pie flavor around thanksgiving for us to try.

How does someone drive away with that many pumpkins? That theft was well planned out.

Harvested 160 Buckskin seeds for next year's patch. I'll harvest 160 of the Renegade PMR seeds too.
