Hey All,
Long time no hear.
My MMM height control is acting up, wondered if anyone had any ideas before I tear into it
Yo can set everything just fine, but it won't stay where you put it after mowing a bit.
Say I put it at 4" and take off, before you know it you are at 3"
Any ideas? Not really looked into this issue yet.
I did do a forum search but didnt see anything.

Thanks in advance

I’m not sure I can answer but have a couple of questions. Generation I or II 2025r? Independent deck lift?

Thanks for replying.
Not sure, it is a 2019 model with 60D deck.
Deck lift is a rod from 3pt

Find out what is slipping to cause such a change.. then let us know.

A clue for us would be what do you have to adjust or change to get it set back to 4" height again, when you say "put it at 4".

You then have to raise 3pt up, which brings up deck, then turn dial back to 4, then let 3pt back down.
Then after mowing a short distance the dial will turn down to 3, thus the deck being too close to ground.
Hope that makes sense.
I am going to try to get it into garage today or tomorrow

Likely problem under the knob that sets and holds the height setting.. look for the spring clip (#26) being in place and not broken as seen in this schematic.
That clip is part # LVU15992

For your info, you have a generation II, and the standard deck lift, not the independent.

So dodge man, are you saying that the adjustment knob for height setting reply #6 does not apply?

Not sure what you are adding to information needed by the OP.

No I’m not saying that sorry for the confusion. The OP probably didn’t know that there were two generations of 2025r and three different deck lift options which may or may not affect how the height setting works.

Howdy,
Nope, I sure didnt know that. I had a 2210 for 15 years and went to the 2025 about a year and half ago.
Really like this thing, but I sure don't like issues. This is the first hiccup.
See attached.
Any idea why this happened??

If I’m looking at it right it looks like the teeth are worn off, probably where you want it set at. Why? Beats me but the made in China doesn’t boost my confidence. I wonder if it wasn’t quite engaging correctly and kept giggling back and forth and caused premature wear. How many hours on your tractor?

Obvious that it is the problem, and needs to be replaced.

Good pics..

What is your plan for the fix?

My guess is someone tried to raise the deck by turning the knob for height setting.

Right at 100 hours, not very long.
Yes, going to order new China part, get it installed. Doesn't look too bad after you remove LR tire.
Have to make sure everything is lining up correctly. Maybe the arm that rest on that part is not fully where it needs to be?
Won't be able to tell until part arrives
