Tractor
John Deere 2130
I have a JD 2130 ser# 184330 which makes it manufactired around 1975. I am referring to the High/Low selector on control panel. (not the HI LO range Lever on the transmission) with this question.

When selecting high the trans just whine and does not propel the tractor. I have heard this means huge bucks. I have repaired my own stuff up until having the steering column rebuilt. I have a tech manula, and a operators manual.

The tractor works well in low and this does nearly everything i need. Only travelling on the road is a problem. I have property 4 miles apart +/-.

Should I just invest in another trailer, tractor or try a repair? Thanks

You have to split the tractor to fix the hi/lo. It can get very expensive to fix.
