2165 electricals dead

The mower has been sitting in the shed for a few weeks, I was going to start it this afternoon. It started for a couple of seconds and went dead. It wouldn't even click after that, and the alternator light won't come on when the key is turned on. I cleaned the cables and am getting power to them. I found two fuses behind the dash, they are both good.

Is there another fuse somewhere? The previous owner had by passed all the safety switches, Maybe one of the connections is corroded. Will the alternator charge light come on if the safety switches are open? I need to know if I chase a power open situation or a safety switch connection open, Is there a wiring diagram on the net for this mower?

So many questions, I know. But I'll appreciate any help

Battery is good; 12.35 v and holds under load.

The first thing I would do it jump the terminals at the solenoid and see if it cranks. If it doesn't crank then the problem is likely a bad ground or cable.

12.35v isn't a good battery, it's pretty low. The cells should be 2.1 to 2.2v each, 12.6v to 13.2v for the battery.

But you do have more problems than that. Even at that voltage you should have the battery light. Go through the wiring on the starting diagram posted making sure all connections are clean and tight, including grounds.

Thanks to all for the suggestions. Using the wiring diagram I started by checking the power wires at the switch. At first I got a flicker of the charge light. I removed the wiring plug, cleaned the contacts and now all is good.
