22 RIFLE

I'll have to vote for the Ruger 10/22 also. My Mom bought me one for a graduation present in 71. It's had thousands of rounds fired through it and still shoots as good today as it did brand new.

Another vote for the Ruger 10/22. I bought a carbine last year for plinking with the kids, and for vermits around the barn. It's a great little rifle.

I've had a Remington nylon 66 forever and if they still make it, get one
Jim:)

I bought a nylon 66 40+ years ago. Great little rifle. Only problem I had was when I put a scope on it. The clamp tightened the sheet metal over the receiver and caused the bolt to stick. My vote today for a semiauto would be the 1022. The problem I see with those is that the stock is much too short. I would prefer a quality bolt action If I could convince the bookkeeper that it would be a good investment.

I might add... I shoot right handed guns left handed so I don't really care for auto's except for pistols. Don't like the expended casing in my face!

Ruger 10-22 also has a very good reputation.

I doubt I will ever wear mine out in the years I have left...

Afternoon Dave,
The Ruger 10-22 is one great gun. I bought multiple clips for mine, and had a cheap Weaver scope on it also. What a great combo !

For novelty sake, Armalite/Charter Arms AR-7 ... "it even floats"

Wow.. the one gun question I can chime in on....chalk up another vote for the Ruger 10/22. I bought mine in High School so it's just over ten years old now. Only time it fails is when the clip is out of shells. I have not found the self reloading model yet.;) As others have said, there are TONS of aftermarket accessories. I once had a 30 round clip, but managed to break it. If anyone happens to have one or know where to find one, I would love to replace it. Shooting in the dark at unwanted skunks... u can't have too many shells...

Would you care to elaborate on that or am I misreading something?
