I am trying to figure out if I have a problem or not. How long should my 3 point and my front end loader stay up after I turn the tractor off. Is that 6 hours, 12 hours, ? The loader does not have the bucket on it and the 3 point only has the i-match setup on it. When I first got the tractor I thought I had a minor hydraulic leak. I am trying to figure out if I have a problem or not. Comments?

I have never timed my leak down. I just know it happens overnight. I have noticed that if I shut my tractor off with the box blade in full "up" position, and then start it and hour or so later, that the hydraulics snap it back to the full up positions again. Maybe it's and inch drop, or so.

I was always taught to drop my loader and implements when shutting my tractor down because it's going to end up there over time anyway.

For safety reasons alone I always drop all attachments to the ground before dismounting or shutting down.

Prosperity--that's kind of what I was trying to say--for safety's sake. Occasionally, I'll hop off to dig something up--real qucikly--and I'll still be digging an hour, or so later. You know the drill /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I usually drop them, I just was wondering if I have a problem or not. I think everything is OK.

Ok - safety aspects aside....
I work with large loaders, graders, backhoes, etc on a daily basis. All hydraulics, even new, will leak down over a certain time without the pump running. It's just plain old gravity taking over.

Nothing to worry about - absolutely normal.

I actually took my 2210 to the dealer for exactly this problem (along with a few other things). It was still under warranty (only 25 hours!) so I asked them to check it out. They said mine was within spec. I think they said something like 2" per hour is "spec" on the loader. I don't remember what they said about the 3 point.
