Hi all,

Just woke up to 3-4" of the white stuff on the ground. I used the loader to plow the driveway, and though it works fine (float works even better than on my old 425) it's nothing like the snowthrower. Anyway, I like to use my loader (it's the best wheelbarrow you can get!) so I wondered if I could have the intermediate hitch and driveshaft the 2210 uses on so that all I would have to do to change between the loader and blower is: remove loader, put on quick-hitch, connect hoses, and drive into the blower. So I tried to put the intermediate hitch on while the loader is on, and found that the two feet that make up the loader stand are in the way. What I'm wondering is, if anyone has crossed this bridge, and if so, did they cut some of the stand material away to clear?
I've circled the area's in red, but couldn't figure how to make the lines heavier:

What I think would work, is if I cut out the feet on both sides so that the hitch would raise up until the holes in pic 2 lined up.

What do you think? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

When you figure this out let me know, I have the same problem. This isn't the quick change that the dealer said it would be if you can't leave the intermediate hitch and drive shaft in. Also, do you have 2 hose guides for the blower on the side of the tractor. When I tried to put my loader back on the front guide was in the way of the right foot. I had to bend it completely out of the way. I'm not sure if they are all like this or the dealer mounted that one in the wrong place.

Thanks.

cford,

I sort of had the same problem with the loop bracket. Because I went from a 425 to the 2210 and already had the snowthrower and the season was spring, the dealer just gave me the JD kit to adapt the blower. Just for haha's I tried it on and found that several pieces of hardware were missing, as well as that when I attached the PTO shaft, I had to raise the front wheels off the ground to make it fit (don't know if this is because the driveshaft was longer on the 425?). Anyway the dealer had attached a hose loop not too far in front of the loop for the loader hoses. When the missing hardware came in, there was another loop and the manual showed attaching it near the front. I just thought that was a good idea, as the distance seemed far for the hoses to span unsupported. Wrong. The loade also bent the front bracket. I took it off, and will just use an electrical tie in front. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
