People aren't hoarding any more. The shortage is due to all the new autoloaders on the market. People are shooting it up as fast as the factories can make it.

I was at Cablea's this evening and ours had a BUNCH of different .22's available. No issues on getting some around here.

am pleased to report my trip to Academy Sports in Greenville turned up a decent but small supply of 22LR.
Max sale of 1000 rounds, I bought 250. 150 of basic plinker Winchester, made in Australia, while the "target" Federal was made in US,
both under five bucks a box. Time to get the targets out.

No problem getting 22LR ammo here......we live in a small town.......there are three stores with 22LR on their shelves.

Our local WalMart has had 22LR on the shelf for over a week now, it used to be gone as soon as it was put up. Right now they only have CCI Stingers and CCI Standard Velocity, but considering that it's been 5 years since any of it has sit up on the shelf for a week or more is encouraging to me. I've been able to get ammo online and at other stores, but it was always nice to be able to go to WalMart and get two or three boxes of Mini Mags, just for the heck of it and it's a lot faster to check out at the sporting goods counter than wait in line up front.
