2305 Backhoe question

You should check out the new Bota bx24. For backhoe work, I think it beats any standard tractor (in it's size range) with an aftermarket backoe attachment. Sit on it and a machine with an aftermatket hoe. The difference in ergonomics are night and day. You get ton's of extra leg room and feet room on the BX since you use the same seat. I have used aftermarket backhoes like Bradco before, and while it performed good, I felt so cramped on it, I couldn't wait to get off.
The new bx 24 is hard to beat as a TLB, and you should at least check one out before buying.

The BH6000 works great on a 2305. I negotiated the price with my entire purchase. I paid $4050 and did a self install. I really like the way the seat bracket works so there is only 1 seat. With the backhoe off, the tractor looks original. It takes me less time to remove it than the CX200 loader. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I now have 13 hours of use on the BH6000.

I have 1 issue with the Woods bracket kit. On the left side the offset bracket has a slot for the mower linkage to go through. The mower linkage runs from the 3 point hitch forward. The bracket is mounted too high causing the linkage to hit, and therefore cannot be installed with the bracket in place. I contacted Woods during the install. They did not know anything about the problem. I was one of the first to install this kit. I did not hear back from them, so I called again yesterday when I was installing the mower deck. They are supposed to be finding a solution and calling back today. It is not a big deal since a modification to the mounting holes can be done to make enough room. I just wanted them to correct the problem. I don't feel I should have to fix their problem.

I forgot to mention: the 3 point hitch must be removed to use the backhoe. On/off time does not include that. I forget about that because I have not yet used the 3 point hitch. Even with that, the backhoe can be off/on in less than 10 minutes.

Update from Woods. They have a second bracket made for the 2305/BH6000. It is 1/2" lower and should clear the mower linkage. I will post when bracket is installed.

Woods told me they updated my dealer with the information. As usual my dealer has dropped the ball again.

Thanks for all your input, I've followed most of your forays into the 2305 BH wilderness with great interest.

Appears you ultimately got a good price on your BH6000. About $5500 is the cheapest number I've heard back on so far. As Mike aptly put it, that "is a chunk of money" and more than I wanted to go...

At the moment I'm reprioritizing my summer projects to delay my tractor needs a bit. Unfortunately, it now appears me and mister Troybilt tiller will be spending quality time together this Easter weekend instead enjoying a new family addition...

That looks really good rvtech. I learn something everyday. Did not realize they had a kit to make the seat seivel like that on the deere. Your 2305 and hoe look very impressive.

What was your overall cost for the 2305 setup with hoe if you don't mind me asking.

That looks like a very good price and right in line with the Massey GC and Kubota BX TLB packages I have seen.
