Happy new years. Think I need a new alternator, should I upgrade to the 35volt? Also, cant seem to find the part number for either alternators. Has anyone seen a downlodable manual for the 2305? Thanks in advance!

Looks like a pretty expensive change, notice there are some wiring changes and a voltage regulator difference also!
Maybe look into a larger one wire style alternator if you're after more juice?

I wonder if it's the same as my 2006 x748?? I have a brand new one I would sell you. When I ordered my x748, I got the high capacity alternator, and they gave me the original one also. It has been sitting in a box for 6 years.

Take a look in jd parts and let me know what you think. The assembly part numbers are different, but the rotors are the same. I think the only difference is the "plate". I think you could do some parts swapping and be fine.
